We took our son to Canada at a similar age, nearly 30 years ago now though. Tips are

Get the bulkhead seat and a sky cot if these are still available. Give a drink/ feed during takeoff and landing to help their ears with the pressure change. Make sure you have plenty of nappies etc packed in what my sister called the bum bag! Don't know if you are breast feeding or not but make sure you check whether the formula you use is available in the resort if not. And be ready for a few sleepless nights as your DC adapts to the time zone change!

We took dd to Jamaica even she was 5 months old. We had the bulkhead seat and the little cot thing that goes with it. She was an absolute star! She was asleep for a lot of the 9 hour flight, only waking up to feed. On landing, Some people sitting nearby said they hadn't realised there was a baby on the flight! (Probably because my 3yo had been quite "lively")😅

Thank you! Il have a look for an air cot. She’s on formula but hoping she will be on some solids by then 👍🏻.

Get a seat with a bassinet, if bottle feeding take ready made up bottles but easier if you can is to be still breastfeeding

Take changes of clothes for you all. The changes in air pressure can make them explode from either end.
