Covid test requirements for children arriving in Orlando

Hi there

I wondered if anyone has recent experience of entry via Orlando airport in terms of Covid requirements?

I understand the principle - adults who are vaccinated, no problems... children under 18 who are not vaccinated can still enter but may be asked to attest that they will take a test 3-5 days after arrival.

My question relates really to practical experience:

  1. Is the attestation about taking a test 3-5 days after arrival actually in place in reality? The 'may' be asked indicates to me that it's not universally applied.
  2. Where/how do we get such a test? I assume buying a pack in the UK and taking it with us would not be accepted - but then what is the best thing to do?
  3. The attestation form reads to me that the child has to isolate for 5 days upon arrival - please can someone confirm I am mis-reading that!

I appreciate it's not actually going to be easy to enforce and check that the child actually does take a test, but just signing the attestation and then not complying with it is not an option for me!

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Take three covid tests with you in case you’re asked at security. (We were)

no-one will actually ask you to test and there is no way of documenting it. No need to isolate either.

noone checked on our recent trip. no need to have a negative test to enter. Guidance is availabel on uk gov website and us entry reqs.

number 3 in attestation means if they get covid, they should isolate for 5 days.

YOu can buy a test over there if you really want but no-one will check.

You can take a standard Covid test with you from the Uk. Between day 3-5 do the test and take a photo, we included my sons passport I think in the photo. Never got asked to see it though.

Was about to start a thread but those in the know seem to be here so will ask on here. We are all vaccinated ds and I with two and a booster, dd just with two. But they were a year ago. We haven’t felt the need to get boosters since as we had covid back in June and thought we’d wait for a bit after. Does the date of the vaccinations matter? Do they need to be recent?

Thanks!

We have been in via Orlando several times since the border opened and have never been asked to provide evidence of any tests. My DC have not had Covid vaccines. is no process or standard or methoD of checking so you do whatever you feel necessary.

@BethDuttonsTwin the date of the vaccination is irrelevant. As long as the adults have had two doses, that is the only stipulation.
