8 days Orlando - HELP!!

Hello

Due to runaway costs we have reduced our 13 day trip to 8…

Please can anyone suggest a good itinerary? Discovery Cove is already booked with Sea World access for another day, and DS wants to do Kennedy too.

The other priorities feel like Harry Potter at Universal and some Disney time (Star Wars??).

Staying at Endless Summer and planning to keep costs down by making a basic lunch to take into parks and then by using the budget restaurant/food court.

I’d almost rather swallow the flight cost and ditch the whole thing as the exchange rate has just made it all 20% more expensive than it was already but DH wants to stick with it. I’m also concerned about jet lag with kids on just 8 days.

any thoughts welcome 🙏

I would probably pick either disney or universal.. rather than try to fit in bits of both. It's a fantastic holiday and you will have a ball, but even with 3 weeks you will struggle to do the lot! So just enjoy what you manage to do in the time you have.
Discovery cove is definitely a full day of it's own- plus it's all inclusive so you may as well make the most of it. And seen as it includes seaworld in the ticket price, I would go there for a day rather than fork out for disney. You can get the tram from your hotel to seaworld for a few dollars.
You can walk to universal from endless summer, wheras disney you will need to take the bus/park car- so I'd be swaying more towards universal than disney too- that will keep costs down hugely.- you can even go back to hotel in afternoon for lunch/pool and then back to parks in evening.
Lots of value restaurants on idrive- start keeping an eye out for coupons. Actually can be cheaper than going to the supermarket!!
Personally I'd leave space centre for another trip as 8 days will fly by as it is- presuming you'd like a bit of time to relax too!
The Dibb is a great website if you haven't checked it out yet.
Have a fabulous time!

Sounds like you're making the best of it OP and having a great time.
I've been going for over 34yrs and always do DC and SW. Blackfish used a great deal of fake footage and fake testimonials and has been widely discredited. Tbf anyone with the slightest disapproval of animals in captivity certainly shouldn't be visiting Disney either, or Universal for that matter. The amount of conservation work SW do is staggering in comparison. The Epcot dolphins never see the light of day.
Hypocrisy at it's finest.

I've been going regularly since the mid 70s and don't remember seeing dolphins at Epcot.

I think there are captive dolphins at the Nemo attraction in Epcot. Disney have them to charge people £200 to stand in waist deep water for half an hour with them. How people think that is an experience is beyond me?!

Maybe dolphin pee has a therapeutic value. 😂

You need to look harder then. I've been going since the mid-80's and they have captive dolphins in the Living Seas Aquariums at Epcot.
I just find it amusing that people are quick to lambast the captive dolphins at one park, but happy to ignore the captive dolphins at another park if it suits them.
