Got an unexpected bit of money so looking at booking disneyworld. 2 weeks are looking at around £7000-£10000.
Have priced up with virgin, BA, TUI, Thomas Cook and First Choice.
Any other recommendations of travel agents please?
It needs to be a Disney hotel as they are doing 14 day park tickets for the price of 7 and $1000 dining credits.

To be honest, you’ve covered the main operators. You could try WDW direct but, if you keep looking, I can pretty much guarantee the prices will go up so you won’t find the deals you’ve already researched.

last time I went, we flew BA which I booked direct and then I booked hotel and tickets with WDW themselves. That was 2018.

Book separately, Disney travel company and flights with virgin/BA/Aer lingus, taxi from the airport.

Thank you both, I'll look into that. I'm not sure which is the official Disney hotel site though, loads have Disney in their web address.

The Walt Disney world website. It does all of it. Hotels and tickets and you can also compare flights. For the uk I think it's called Disney packages or something similar.

KG1000 · 30/06/2022 18:41

The official Disney website is www.disneyholidays.co.uk.

I have used them for hotel/ tickets a couple of times and they were great. You can book a package with them, but I don't know how well that works as opposed to booking flight separately.

And make sure you check cashback sites as they are usually pretty good. Look for 'Walt Disney Travel Company'.

Have fun!

I always book everything myself, and not a package. It works out less expensive and you get a better standard of villa when you book direct with an owner (only appropriate if you're staying off-property).

Also, you'll get 14 days for the price of 7 with most tickets. Try floridatix, for example.

My preference for flights would be virgin. I've had a number of poor experiences with TUI (but others love them)

junipermerry · 30/06/2022 19:55

Like others, we booked Disney hotel and tickets directly through Disney and booked flights separately. Ended up with totally bargain flights with Virgin (with a change in New York). I imagine bargains are thin on the ground these days though, this was August 2019.

junipermerry · 30/06/2022 19:56

Oh and we got cash back too, about £300 if I recall.

PoptartPoptart · 01/07/2022 21:50

You don’t need to stay in a Disney hotel to get the 14 days for the price of 7 ticket offer.
Disney hotels are amazing but so so so expensive and not value for money anymore since they removed the Disney dining plan.
You’ll get better value staying off site imo.

HermioneWeasley · 01/07/2022 22:55

Everywhere offers the 14 day ticket for price of 7 and I suspect it would be more than $1k cheaper to stay offsite

JubileeTrifle · 01/07/2022 23:36

If you change flights you can save money. We have changed in Dublin before and gone through homeland security there.
Food is expensive/overpriced there I’m afraid. My experience has always been with the dining plan, remember any sit down meal will include a tip.

Personally I would stay off site. The dining plan offset the price of staying on Disney and now that’s gone it’s just not worth it. I’ve read they’ve swopped all the room fridges over to ‘cooler’ limiting what food you can keep in the room. I’ve known people do Florida very clearly staying off site.
We deal with food allergies so staying on site for us is necessary (they are so good with it) if we didn’t then we wouldn’t bother.

Onedaylikethi5 · 02/07/2022 21:12

If you haven't been before I'm not sure I would go right now. It's more expensive than it has ever been for far less of an experience. I'm a massive WDW fan but I would seriously spend that £££££ on something else right now. $1000 dining credit really will not go as far as you think. There are few benefits to being on site now.

princesssparklepants · 06/07/2022 12:07

As mentioned up thread. You can get the 14 day for 7 tickets from anywhere. We tend to use florida tix and if you join the Fb group Orlando time, they sometimes offer discount codes.
As for the $1000 credit, you may want to price up a hotel off site as you could save that by booking offsite. Although car hire is very expensive at mo.

We booked via travel republic, cheapest flights were with tui but was cheaper to book via travel republic then via tui directly
