Hands up, who has Larvesta as their buddy? I raise my own. He's going to be my buddy for a long time. 400 candy to evolve! If you have one, how far are you in the candy quest?

I hatched exactly two larvesta, mine has been wearing the best buddy badge forever. It eats all my rare candies and I evolved it last week.

I do. It's not getting its hands on my rare candy. It will take a while but it will inevitably be everywhere, at some point.

My larvesta is still languishing on 20-something candies. I occasionally sit it in gyms and feed it spare berries but that's about the limit of my efforts. What's it's walking distance?

Still haven't upgraded a frigibax yet either, caught a few and hatched a couple so that's closer. Also just sneaking the odd candy in gyms ATM.

In other grind news, zygarde cells still ongoing, the end is in sight (170/200). I'm giving her my rare candy with a view to making friends with her soon.

I just checked my larvesta and I'm sitting on 42 candies so I've chucked it in my buddy list. I'm still trying to get that 10 best buddies task. I'd be a lot faster if I could be arsed to go through them all adding hearts every day.

I should really check which other ones I need candies for and add them to my list of buddies. I've renamed them all as the imaginative name of "Buddy" so it's easier to find them when I have time to go through them all.

Just checked and I've hatched 3 larvesta and have 120 candy, 22 candy xl. Only 19 frigibax candy.

Another with a Larvesta buddy - mine has been best buddies for ages and I'm still only on around 200 candies. I do swap it out for the odd research task though.

I'm envying my sprite today because I bought her a Giratina jacket that comes with a stripy jumper and I want one just like it 😀

It's a 5 km distance. I don't mind so much. I am getting quite fond of Larry (I named him) now. It will be better once he's a great buddy and can help catch.

I am enjoying routes but I keep forgetting about the zygarde cells. That's because I get excited about the gift exchange at the end. It's neat to get postcards from all over the world.

Took me two months to evolve, I hatched three then luckily with all the raid days recently ALL my rare candy went into him. I also do GBL so the rare candy from that helped

Nice! I hatched a shiny Alomola yesterday.

@ISaySteadyOn At one point I had one of those phone cradles that walks your phone for you :) It might be worth it for the candies.

My last shiny was a Happiny I hatched a few days ago. I got a wild shiny Noibat the same day.

Hatched 6 larvesta so far. One 98% which I’ve evolved but not fully powered up. Have 87 candy and 40xl candy in hand.
Also got 6 frigibax, one half evolved and one fully evolved. 78 candy and 33 xl in hand for that but holding out for a better one before I power anything up.

I’ve pretty much given up on routes. They’re really not fun to me. You have to keep staring at your phone and mostly miss whatever the route is supposedly showing you. I struggle with mobility so I simply can’t walk them. There are one or two I can drive but I have to go out of my way to do so and I simply can’t be bothered any more.

I've just picked up a shiny noibat - now need to decide if I'm going to throw 400 candy at a 0 star Pokémon, or evolve the decent one I've had waiting for ages... There are a few evolutions which have been really hard work where I've been underwhelmed with the end result, so not sure what will be the most worthwhile, something which is actually worth having for fighting with, or just a pretty one to leave on display at the gym!

Not sure who is on here but I was hoping to do an egg tomorrow morning for best friends with BenFry10 and ultra friends AlexandEthan999 and LolaRose95. Around 10?

I do the routes as I'm trying to get all the scatterbugs, but not finding it that fun. My phone hasn't got the best GPS, so I've lost a few that way (although it also sometimes means I can grab a pokestop which is slightly further away than I should be able to reach from my sofa so it's not always bad to have a rubbish phone!), I sometimes forget to end them and often forget to pin the postcard when it finally gets to that point.

Keep the shiny to do a mirror trade when you’re lucky friends. I walked my first noibat for miles to get the candy. Then we had community day and I’ve got 6 evolved, too many shinies and over 3,400 candy and almost 500xl candy 😵Candy will come but good stats are harder to find.

I now keep 400+ rare candy just in case I need to evolve something in a hurry…🤐

I'd love to store a bit more lucky candy, but my item bag is still pretty tiny. Since taking advice on here I shove it all at my (small) collection of legendaries and patiently walk everything else.

I am currently lucky friends with a work colleague's husband, so just working out a socially acceptable way to meet up and trade Pokémon, apart from that almost all my friends are online so not sure we'll ever be close enough to organise trades. I don't know if the game knows that and only makes you lucky friends with people who are fairly local?!

Noibat had a community day, last year, so just hold off because there will be plenty more opportunities or, alternatively, evolve the pretty green one because there is no real use for a high IV one.

I have lucky friends in Japan and Mexico.

Maybe just meet them both for a coffee or something? The trade bit won't take all that long.
