@Sweetpea1532 - yes I think you need one there. It breaks up who / what he is doing.

He's a Monty Python character who is monstrously fat and gorges on everything. He says he full and a waiter offers him an after dinner mint. He declines.

Eventually the waiter - in fake French accent - says 'oh, but it's only waffer thin'.

Mr C accepts, then the vomiting commences.
