You’re so right @BlitheringBlathers , have come back to mine thinking I’ve sooo got a lot of work to do. @Winterfellismyhome island is incredible! I love the custom paths, I spent a while just wandering around.

I need help with flies!
I've put out 3 tin cans, a tyre and a boot. They have been there for weeks and I've had no flies.

I once left turnips too long and got loads of flies, so maybe you could try that?

As I pressed send on that message I realised that I'd actually got loads of ants on the turnips not flies, sorry ignore me

I'm not sure @plixy, I've been waiting too after crafting trash bags with no luck. I'd read that it's a matter of waiting but am wondering if location is an issue - mine are by the river. I did manage to catch a cockroach though after DS didn't play for ages. Who would have thought we'd be so invested in pests...

@BlitheringBlathers yeah I used turnips for ants. I did read you can sometimes get flies on them too but I never did.
Running out of ideas now!

I've been trying to breed hybrid Red flowers, does anyone no if they're obviously different if successful? I wondered if they'd be named that in the inventory? If so no luck yet

Apparently the fly is easily scared away
Cans or boots or tyres should work
Spoiled turnips too

@moretea - you can't tell that the flowers are hybrid by looking at them

I definitely caught a fly on my rotten turnip. There were ants on it far more frequently though.

Put rotten turnips on a path for a fly and grass for ants. I caught one from a can I think!

Hi iv kinda hijacked my sons island, any chance I could visit any of you please, iv been working really hard the last two weeks from my sick bed and finally got us to 3 stars and think I got the hang of it.

I’d love some stone and Cherries.
He takes his switch too school (attends a ASD school and uses it on his travels) so I usually get on after 4pm and again after 8pm.

I’m doing my best to tidy the place up a bit and get it a bit more exciting. But we would both love a friend or 2 too visit.
