I think I saw a tarantula once on my island but it was only a brief glimpse and might just have been a tiger beetle viewed at an odd angle as it was running away

ooh is it only £6..... I think I must have looked at an annual family pass but thinking about it it is just me that needs it... for my island :D

What's tarantula island? Are there a set number of islands we can visit?

I had a tarantula run up and then I fainted!! I had my net in my hand as well just wasnt quick enough. It was near dds house - she then paid tom nook to move it! Hi everyone new to the thread and fairly new to animal crossing

@TryingNotToPanicOverCovid it's one of the mystery island you can travel to using a nook miles ticket. Tarantula island is only available after 7pm and its pot luck if you get to it. We've been extremely lucky and been there twice this last week.
Apparently you can spawn tarantulas on other mystery islands as long as they are flat ( no high cliffs )and after 7pm and you clear the island of all weeds trees including stumps and other bugs, you need to pick all the flowers ( but not dig them up ) then hopefully they'll spawn. I'm hoping to try it out to see if it works as you get 8000 bells per tarantula

I tried to spawn a tarantula island, did it on the bamboo island which is supposed to work for it but after two hours of waiting and chasing away tiger beetles and wharf roaches I gave up.

Ooh that will be my new thing! I'm glad I knew though I think I'd have been a bit shocked to turn up and find tarantulas shudder.

I've paid off my house loan now and will be getting a basement in the morning Think I'll make the upstairs into a kitchen dining room and the basement into a playroom

I am on day 5 so we all have houses and the museum is open. Should there be a shop instead of a tent soon?

Never mind the family... if anyone has an island that I can visit today or the next day or two please let me know. I'd love one of a fruit I don't have so I can start growing fruit (I have cherries, pears, peaches, coconuts and bamboo) and I'd love to sell my turnips for more than 50 bells!!!!

What is the etiquette when visiting islands? Can you have a fish (are they the same fish?) what stops people taking things from your island?!!?!? That would be awful!

I'd love to see some pretty ones to get ideas. I have just started planting!

If there's anything I can bring as a gift that would be fab too!

I'll repost our friend code for you, we have all the fruits so can sort you out
I'm pretty relaxed and happy for people to fish, shake trees ( not bell trees ) and to visit nooks cranny and able sisters.
Most people like visitors to water flowers too.
You'll get the same fish / critters that are in season on each island.
Most people post their turnip prices on here and when they have shooting stars.
Everyone on here has been super helpful and shown lots of brilliant kindness in making diy's or giving out bells and I try to always pay it forward
