I managed to catch a shiny Alolan Sandshrew, which was a lovely touch.

That’s a lucky find! I managed to find a shiny electabuzz and a 3 star but no hundos. Same tonight with Meltan, a shiny and an ok 3 star but nothing I want to evolve!

Hi all, can someone please confirm that you can’t take advantage of the Meltan Mystery box unless you have a Nintendo switch and one of the Pokémon games?

You don’t need the switch anymore, if you download the Pokémon home app, link it to a Nintendo account and your Pokémon go account, you can send Pokémon from go to home and in return get a mystery box. Opening the mystery box is like a special meltan incense and is active for an hour. Also shiny meltan is currently available.

I had a thoroughly agreeable few hours walking around with a friend, catching mostly rubbish, laughing and talking crap, mostly about food, namely how to make aubergine edible (impossible imo), his love for beef and why his vegan ex did his bongoes, books and how film and TV adaptations are always inferior and why cats>dogs. Amongst other things. Most sociable I've been in months.

@DoctorTwo that sounds lovely! We did something similar. Had a walk in a local beauty spot, picked up a couple of shinys, and one good enough to evolve. Was also happy to be invited to raid and got a Virizion. Also found the most lovely take away coffee! Bonus.

How have I only just found this thread, and can I join in, please? I’m only just getting the hang of remote raids (and why is it so hard to catch the bugger after?) but am a demon gifter, though stocks until I have a big walk-about on Saturday.
