Well, in the past few days, both boys have caught shiny pidgey and Ds2 caught shiny murkrow.

No shinies for me, as always. My most recent non event shiny was a magikarp, over 6 months ago.

Has anyone got any top tips in getting three great throws in a row ?

Or a ladyba, or a ponyta. Anything with a big circle. Count them down before you throw and don't use a razzberry so there's more chance the Pokémon breaks out.
I actually got my 5 great throws in a row on a miltank. I kept her and called her Gertrude.

Haven’t had the chance to do much catching or raiding over the past few days, but got a Registeel in my weekly research reward today, so I’m happy!

@pottypotamus - so sorry I haven’t replied, it’s been a busy weekend.

I can go Ultra with Poketwoboys the next time they open their gift from me. I can also trigger Ultra with Dashiy2018 when I open the gift.

Perhaps we could try to co-ordinate for next week? I’d love to be able to pop an egg on, as it would push me up to Level 38!

I know that the higher the CP the stronger the beast, but I've no idea how to find out thier levels

Hi @Heulog, most of us use an app called Pokegenie which uses a screenshot of your critter to calculate its IV and level and hence its potential in battle. CP can be changed, IV cannot and is more important.

We love this game for different reasons: I know parents who use it to get exercise into their kids, there are those who play because they remember the original 90s tv show, and I am the latter. Plus it's fun, and you get looked at funny when you tell grown ups you're playing PoGo. :o

bigchris I hear you...I am currently trying hard to get the 5 great curveball throws in a row thing, when I'd be lucky to manage 3. Wailmers, Slowpokes, Mr Mimes, and make sure you wait until the circle shrinks to its second smallest before throwing and hitting a bullseye. Easy! not

GallicosCats I gave up on the 5 great curve balls, kept getting to 4 then loosing the streak.

My best curve ball streaks have always been when I'm at home, and my phone is lying flat on the table. I'm never as
