I’ve just re-started playing after a loooong gap.

Yy, that’s my main aim too, Contrary, one of each shiny Eevee. The problem is you can’t guarantee the evolution (apart from Espeon & Umbrion) so we need loads to get lots of chances at it.

What's a gym skimmer?

@JuniLoolaPalooza @TheLazyDuchess As long as one of us opens a gift today we can level up tomorrow. I can't open gifts just yet though as I have two empty egg slots and I really don't want any more bloody alolan rubbish!

@catchyjem what time tomorrow works for you?

@WhatToDoAboutWailmerGoneRogue I know there's no time limit but with normal spawns I think the task would take forever to complete. I hardly ever see any of the requisite Pokemon. So if I don't do it during the event it could be as good as impossible.

A gym skimmer is someone who kicks out a fellow team member's Pokémon from a gym to put one of their own in. So they'll have accounts on more than one team. In our village his main account is red, so he'd start to battle as blue or yellow, and as soon as one Pokémon is knocked out, leave the battle, then put his own red team Pokémon in.
We also have a weirdo who around midnight battles all the gyms and then leaves them grey. Never puts anything in.
I sometimes jump in the car with mine and DS' phones and go and claim them
