Bimblesalong thank you, I'm really chuffed! I was in the city centre, I don't think I was anywhere near a river or any sort of water it was near the co op if I remember rightly! it didn't show up on any nearby lists- just spawned straight in front of me. I know that's not overly helpful! It was very unexpected and in somewhere completely random, so keep your eyes peeled as it could pop up anywhere like mine did

Has anyone else noticed that there are shellders everywhere?! It's like the Slugmas from the rock event all over again! Everywhere I bloody look!

Love those teddies! Evolved a ninetails, rapidash and feraligatr so far and hoping for arcanine and houndoom soon. Possibly can get typhlosion if I'm lucky. If my 10k egg gives me a snorlax I'm on a roll!

Hi everyone! Haven't posted for a while.

We're on holiday in the uk right now - near Seaton on the south coast. Very frustrating as my internet is not strong here, on my phone at least. Oh well.

We finally got a Porygon! Hatched the bugger. Then we caught a Yanma the next day, and today we managed to evolve Typhlosion. So not a total loss!

I'd love a few more Houndour and Charmander before the event ends, and a few Sneasel for gen 4 too. We're up to 218 caught in the dex.

Is Bath any good for Pokémon?

I think I gave DS and half of Norwich a fright with the shriek I let out spiderlight!

If you find out about Bath let me know, I'm going up for the day Ina couple of weeks.

Psammead and Rafa there are lots of pokestops in the city centre & around the tourist areas but for more unusual Pokemon then try Victoria Park which has nests. It is also a lovely place to visit! With a huge play area for children & I like the botanical gardens. Just a 5-10 minute walk from the city centre.

Yeah, it's because they turn into Cloysters which are part ice.

I'm really surprised people are evolving so early on in the the event. I always wait until the end of the event so I know I have the best Pokemon possible before evolving.

I'd hate to evolve one only to later catch a better one and not be able to evolve that too, especially with something like a Charizard or a Feralligator.

I have seen my first ever Lapras in the wild today, couldn't get to it but it was the first time I have seen it other than coming out of an egg.
Couldn't move for Cyndaquils today at work, and houndours.

I would move mountains to get a lapras. I still don't have one :(

I only had one houndour and one Cyndaquil. Now i have enough candy to evolve Houndoom and have 87 Cyndaquil candy.

It's ok. I've got a few Snorlax and Tangela to make up for it.

I've only ever seen (and managed to catch) one Lapras a few weeks ago. It just appeared in the middle of the street for me.

I've evolved what I can today, but kept about three of each Pokemon behind. I'll keep gaining candies through the week, then when the event finishes, I'll see if I have another that I can evolve

cottonwool125 Yeah, I get that, but it does mean you might not have enough candies to power up these Pokemon.

It doesn't matter if you aren't going to gym with them, but I'd you are, it's very important to have as many candies as possible (hence my only evolving one at the end and using all the other candies to power up).

Obviously I only power up powerful gymming Pokemon (Vaporeons, Jolteons, Machamp, Gyarados, Rhydon etc) as stardust is so rare.

I hatched 2 of the Lapras I think and caught the rest.

I havent seen any since the event started.

I hadn't appreciated that egg hatches get 5x xp bonus. So you could buy lots of egg incubators, set them off with the same egg distance then set a lucky egg before you reach the distance.

Loving this event. Got enough Charmander candy now but sitting on my hands in case I get a better one
Getting a few Houndour and Cynquadil so hoping I'll have enough candy by the end of the event for the evolutions

So I'm just arriving home from the school run, in the process of juggling keys, trying to switch off my ipod, logging off Pokemon, and my usual cluster spawn that we always get as we arrive at the house pops up - Swinub, Swinub, Murcrow, Vulpix, Lapras, Pidgey....good job I actually looked properly before I switched it off! I'm going to be in deep trouble later though because it didn't spawn on DS's phone despite me walking up and down the street four times like a wally waving the phone around and muttering. He has one that he hatched though so it won't be the end of the world.
