We went to a nearby town for a walk and a mass catch session yesterday. There were so many people pokemoning! A lady even asked me whether there are some new extras at the pokestoots because she kept seeing people go up to them all day long. Dd has not stopped talking about the new pokemon, she has been so excited. I'm not even bothering to learn the new pokemon names- there are just too many of them!

The only one who has no fucks to give about gen2 is Charlie.

Oh and we hatched a sodding Ekans today and have only 50 balls left. I think I will have to go on a bus trip somewhere to stock up as when walking more balls get chucked away than picked up.

I've found a King's Rock then evolved a Slowking and a Dragon Scale then evolved a Kingdra so far. Got enough candy for Steelix, just need a Steel Coat. Hatched a Tyrogue and Togepi today so very happy with that.

I got a Sunstone on my first stop of day 7.

Yes, I got a Sunstone on my first stop of Day 7 as well - it was actually my first stop of Gen 2 and was made me realise it was live!

I've also got two dragonstones as well - I've been out and about in London today so I'm wondering whether I got them on that 10 unique stops in an hour thing?

Well we got quite a good haul!
Including the evolutions we've been able to do we're up to 37 neweys including this nasty bastard who took 7!! Ultra balls and a punnet of razzberries.

Oh but NO more special items 😡 we must have covered in excess of 60 stops too.

We're going to struggle for special objects. I can only get to Pokéstops 2 or 3 times a week. :/

I got 2 kings rocks from my local pokestop today. Day 7 too. Is this a theme?

I have seen a few people say special items are 7 day streak spins only but I don't think it's true. I got my dragon scale from my 7 day streak but then i got a king's rock later in the day and an upgrade on a random spin today, first day of a streak. Up to 34 gen 2 now, so happy with that.

I wish they would increase the drop rate in rural areas.

I have had sun stone and dragon scale and no 7 day streak till tomorrow so definitely not true.

No special items here. Hatched larvitar though. And caught all 3 gen 2 starters. Yay!! Up to 53 of gen 2 now, caught 195 seen 200 (regionals plus octillery who ran)

I had no idea that they were the starters! I have two but Chikorita poofed on me.

Added a Skiploom and a Wobbuffet to the Pokedex today already.
The only special item I got was at my very first pokestop after the update which also happened to be a 7 day streak one, none since, but I'm very rural, this might again be a disadvantage.

Got a couple of 2k eggs over the weekend was hoping they'd have gen 2 in. Got a squirtle and a slopoke. Interesting drop down there to 2k.

I hatched a Nidoran and a diglet from 2k eggs yesterday. I have a 10k egg on the go, very curious to see what it is.
