Recommendations for me?

If I tell you what I like and don't like, please could you make some recommendations for my next game?

Loved: Dragon Age Inquisition, Skyrim.
Historically liked: Portal, Monkey Island, Broken Sword, Myst/Riven, Diablo, LA Noire.

Disliked: The Last of Us (visually beautiful, but I found it quite stressful and didn't finish it), Diablo III, Tomb Raider Definitive Edition.

PS4 or Xbox 360. Was looking at Broken Sword 5, but fear that it would be all over in 15 hours and am spoiled by 100+ epics.

Any suggestions would be great.

Op, glad you're enjoying it so much! Took me ages to get used to the levelling up but it's all good, the combat is just so much fun. I played on the easiest setting first time round and managed to get away with being rubbish at defence - I like running at danger, sword flailing about! On a harder difficulty now and I need to get better now or die lots. Dh ordered a special pack for the first dlc which gave us a real set of Gwent cards - I didn't play at all on my first play through, second play through is taking much longer cause I'm playing Gwent every 5 minutes.

Orange, it's worth getting the newer system for!

"System Shock 2 is £1.74 on Steam"

Bargain! Smile

'I only play Sims 3 on pc really!'

Me too Felicia, Sims4 now though. Although I have Theme Hospital and Ceaser3 that I occasionally feel compelled to replay!

Bioshock is only £3.99 in game, might pop out and get it today. ----

You people playing Sims and Theme Hospital might also like , which looks pretty good.

What is the combat like in witcher 3? I love skyrim and Dragon age but I like playing games with the combat difficulty turned down...

I get frustrated if I'm dying all the time because I like to get totally lost in the role play of the game and character.

The combat is pretty good. You usually play as Geralt, and with him you've a fast attack or a strong attack (just 2 buttons to choose from for waving your sword about!). He has lots of different moves, but you only need to choose between those two attacks. There's a few spells you can cast - they call them signs but a spade is a spade. You've a crossbow you can use too, and you can learn how to make bombs which can be thrown at enemies. It has auto aim but you can move it to be more precise if you like. You can also brew potions to help you, and oils to apply to your blade during combat.

You also play occasionally as Ciri (voiced by Tweak from the Octonauts of all people!) and she has a couple cool special moves. Fortunately for me, the command buttons are displayed on the bottom of the screen so if you know what type of attack you want to do, but can't remember which button, it's there for you.

There's a few difficulty settings on the game too, I'm like you Marvel, I like to feel I can achieve something with a game without dying a thousand times! I usually do a first play through on the easiest setting, then if I play again I might up the difficulty if I'm confident. You can adjust the difficulty any time though.

Like Skyrim there are perks you can pick up to improve your combat skills, and you can pick and choose from them. You get one when you level up, and one when you visit a Place of Power (a big magic stone in the ground).

Hope that's useful - best thing to do though is check out twitch to see people playing, or YouTube - plenty videos to watch. Or just buy it cause it's awesome!

MsMarvel - me too! I have no desire to finish things on a hard setting, it takes all the enjoyment out when it's too hard.

I play almost everything on easy, I think the only one I don't is Bioshock and that's because I have played it that many times I can almost predict the action!
