Talk to me about X Box 360

I am very new to all this. Thinking of getting one for my son for Xmas. Amazon has a bundle with Xbox 360 console (500GB) and Fifa15 for £189.85. Would I need anything else in addition to this to have it up and running? What do people mean when they talk about Xbox Live? Thanks

I have a 360 and a One. I have loads of games for 360, they are still being made although for how long I don't know. However, the quality is so good I think if I were a casual gamer I would pick the 360 and be able to buy loads of games cheaper than a few for the One.

You can't play 360 games on the One. If you want a One, have a look on the Microsoft website. FIL just got one for £450 with extra controller and loads of games - retail was over £600!

Also ask round what his friends have. You can't play games between different consoles and this will make a difference to how much he enjoys playing. Many of DDs friends now play on a One.
