Calling all Hay Day Addicts!

I've sold all I can sell and still haven't enough! I've just gave in and used some diamonds to finish my docks early, hoping the boat orders will help me raise money!

Sorry Norks but orders for boats and trucks always pay less than the roadside shop.
The shop raises cash but doesn't give you xp. The best way to raise cash is to sow and reap and produce as much stuff as you can and put it in the shop at max price.
There are few things I would not put max on. Eggs, wool, and wheat. Actually I never put those in the shop now. Use them to make other stuff.
Never sell dairy or sugar.

Why not?

They pay less per item, you get xp (blue score) though, which helps you to level up. Try looking at a truck order for a couple of items. Then put those in the shop and max the price. It will be much, much more than the truck pays, but you get no xp in the shop.
This is why people say to raise money sell everything in your rather than doing orders.

Never leave a field without something growing in it.

Thanks for the advice yourlittlesecret! Haven't managed to do any boat orders yet as I sold nearly everything I had so now replenishing my stock!

I'm saving my sugar for cake when my oven is ready. But I sold my soul everything to get it.

I have just managed to unlock the neighbourhood at level 29, any quiches still have places? I am playing on android so don't have GC, does that mean I can only add friends via Facebook?

cos you need them for so many things you'll use them faster than you can make them and they're never available in shops.

I'll sell anything in my shop but never sugar or dairy they're too valuable :)

I have bought them a few times, but I agree they are rare - which is precisely why I always sell a few every time, they always go!

I produce loads of butter, cream and both sugars to sell when I don't need them for boat order products, so I have a good stock of them.

I have about 8 slots on each of the machines so I just load them up and the production is near constant.

saving up for another smelter and the jewellery machine now.

btw- the fishnet maker was a disappointment, you wait for days for the bloody thing to be available, 4 hrs to make free net then chuck it in the water and it's 20hrs before you can "harvest" 3 miserable fish!
and they don't even count towards achievement points!
the gift mystery net did give me a land deed and a bolt on top of the fish - but I don't think I will spend 5 diamonds per mystery net.

How do you get extra slots on the machines? I can't keep up with my hens!

wait til you've got cake, sweet, ice cream & coffee machines all demanding cream and sugar snd things needing syrup too it's almost impossible to keep up. I need a 2nd dairy and 2nd sugar machine

I truly never noticed that you could add slots. I always wondered what use diamonds were. I had accumulate a few but spent them upgrading the town.
I could have had more slots.
For the first time ever I am tempted to break the golden rule and buy some diamonds.

Actually, if you are a low level player selling dairy and sugar is not a bad idea.

Once you get more machines though, they are used for just about everything and you can't keep up with the production.

Focus your efforts on expanding Dairy and Sugar slots first. Each subsequent slot costs more diamonds.

I have started to keep a few batches of eggs in my shop now

3 or 4 slots of 5 eggs at maximum. Bizarrely when I had 10 eggs, they never sold. 5 eggs seem to sell at some point during the day.

The more GC friends you have, the more shop slots you have btw. So go and add everyone from the list!!!

Also, as you use a machine, you slowly get 'mastery'.

If you press the little 'i' button which shows up when you tap a machine, it shows you how many hours of making you have, and how many you need to reach to get the next level of mastery.

It does mean that your truck orders will be worth that bit more coin wise - 10%, on items that you have reached your first mastery level on, extra xp points for 2nd, and for 3rd your manufacture time reduces. So its worth keeping your machines fully producing.

Damn you Mumsnet! I downloaded this yesterday to fill the Candy Crush shaped hole in my life virtually given up on that as I've been stuck for months and now I'm worried this is far tooooo addictive. I'm only on level 13 so am following this thread for hints to make me a Hay Day billionaire. I'm napoleonsnose/k4teejo/Grumbleweeds if anyone would like to add me.

Oh crikey. Got my first boat order and I can't keep up. Went to physio and out to lunch and now everything is full!

So what happens if the boat leaves and you haven't filled the orders? Is there's penalty?

Ladies, help me please! I've started a new thread re Game Center within this topic. If you have any advice or tips, I'd be really grateful. HDQ has already advised on another thread but I don't think I have quite resolved how to do it without DS losing access to his games. And if I lose HD I will cry ... a lot!

Am L32, making cream cakes for the event and seeing them in my sleep. HD really takes up too much time.

9 slots! Wow! The most I have is 3 on dairy, feed, sugar, pies and cakes but I have diamonds so must open up some more. Which is best next?
