I've just signed up and I've got to be honest, I don't think it is.
You get fruit, some veg, tofu and beans and lentils with zero points but everything is pointed and even eating a simple diet, points will be easy to go through.

It's going to be tight I think. I'm planning on combining it with fasting on 16:8 which should make it easier to stay within the points margins.

Did you join?

Hi blueberry,no I didn't join ,I couldn't find enough information to explain how it actually works ..I saw you could scan things with your phone to give you the points value, but mine is a£100 phone ,very basic ,so I didn't think it would work ,and I wanted to know exactly how it works before I signed up ,but I couldn't find the information I wanted on the ww sight...they say it's suitable for vegans ,but there was very little information demonstrating that .
How are you finding it blueberry

You do need an app to get the best out of it but I imagine as long as you have a smart phone it would be fine.

I didn't have any luck, or weight loss on slimming world so I'm hoping this will be better.

So far, I'd say it's quite restrictive and doesn't leave room for treats really. I get 23 points a day but a piece of bread is 2 points, all meat replacements are fairly high in points, a small jacket potato is 4 points and a micro bag of rice is 10-12 points so the points don't go very far.

Fruit, most veg, tofu, lentils are free but with even soy sauce having a point value (1 point per tbsp) it's looking quite boring.

I'm hoping the stricter, no room for treats, approach will pay dividends on the scale - I'll let you know!

Sorry to answer your actual questions:

  1. Yes, very easy to follow if you are familiar with apps. The app is simple and user friendly.
  2. Not seen loads of recipes, mainly various versions of lentil and butternut squash - made into a soup, salad, stew, curry. But I'm a good 'from scratch' cook so I haven't really bothered with the recipe section. Happy to screenshot a few for you to see if of interest to you.

That's all very interesting.
I downloaded the NHS weight loss app on my phone ,where you track calories.
I'm finding it difficult ,but only because I've just had 2 weeks eating exactly what I like ,I will get in to it ...I was doing loose it app but found this NHS one and I preferred it .
I eat a lot of bread ,every meal is bread /toast/ sandwich..don't really eat other carbs and I do have a tendency to the opposite of what I'm told ,so more freedom in food choice is probably better for me ..
Hope you get on well with it x
