Animal testing DOES NOT work

As well as being obscene and utterly immoral, animal testing doesn't benefit humans.
I've long known this, but sadly most people have fallen for the lies, and animal rights activists are unfairly vilified.
This conversation between Ricky Gervais and Dr Ray Greek is the best I've seen on the issue -

Please watch and share if you can.
I'm sharing this in the vegan topic, as not looking for a debate, just sharing

I'm Vegan as is the large majority of my family including all three of my children (all healthy, happy and thriving thank you and eat a massively broad and varied diet compared to so so many of their friends who genuinely eat restrictive diets of white pasta no sauce etc so please don't come at me)
BUT @Kaiken and others have provided so much incredible science backed information here that I recognise that in some (maybe not all) animal testing is a really valid way of saving multiple human lives.
I'm sure every person on the planet that wasn't a sadist would love a magic wand and remove all animal testing but it's currently a much needed step in saving lives.

Fantastic rebuttal @Kaiken and other super posters.

I really don't like it when someone comes along saying
'Listen to me! I'm absolutely right and no one can convince me otherwise! And I'll not even debate it with you.'

What an eloquent way to hand someone's arse to them on a plate.

Oh crikey, I'm very sorry, I didn't mean it to come across that way. What I meant was that I was preaching to the choir. I wasn't trying to convince anyone here really. Just sharing with fellow vegans, who are generally (not always) opposed to animal testing anyway. That's why I posted in the vegan topic.
Anyway, I'll take your criticism on board, as on reflection I probably should have taken a different approach.
I still fervently believe that animal testing is wrong and ineffective. Dangerous to humans in many case even. Nobody can convince me otherwise.
But anyway, I've not been very popular on this thread... Oh well 🤷

Your statement simply isn't true.
Sometimes it doesn't work but it usually does.

Obviously no-one wants animals to suffer but sometimes it is valuable research. And necessary.

It should be used as an absolute last resort

Nobody can convince you otherwise because you don't WANT to be convinced otherwise. It's not a virtue, you know...
