Those companies are not cruelty free or vegan. I'd advise return what you have brought if you can and check out products and companies on cruelty free kitty. You have to check the ethical side(cruelty free) and ingredients (vegan only, for example some mascaras use fish scales, like the ysl one)

There are some nice vegan options on elf, Charlotte Tilbury and Glossier so that's personally what I would appreciate.

However, make up is very individual, so I would say you can't go wrong with the pixi skincare range, as don't have to know personal taste.

It's really thoughtful of you to be concerned about this and to have got together something you thought she would like in the first place.

As a vegan I would probably avoid those brands, nice as they are. The problem with some brands like Clarins is they say they're vegan but actually sell in China where they have to test on animals.

Google vegan beauty girl (Nicole something) she does a blog with all sorts of nice products for various budgets.

Also places like thevegankind.com do subscription boxes, you can buy one, three six, twelve months etc and they deliver a beauty box every other month.

Eden perfumes do vegan dupes of well known perfumes and do trial size boxes too.

Revolution Pro at Superdrug is vegan and decent quality in nice packaging.

I can have a think and give you more ideas if you like but there are probably enough on the thread already.
