Vegan party centrepiece - preferably not pastry, make ahead and limited prep

I'm planning a family party for a special occasion. We will have one guest who is vegan and several who are vegetarian. I will ensure that all the salads and sides are vegan, so that they are suitable for all guests including meat eaters. I'm conscious that I don't have a 'centrepiece' for vegan/vegetarian guests. Usually I do something with pastry like a tart or pie so want to do something without pastry. I've also made roasted vegetable terrines in the past eg for dinner parties but find them a faff I won't have the prep time on this occasion.
I'm sure people won't go hungry with all the salads and sides but I would like one dish that balances the meat platter I am planning for the carnivores.
Would a nut roast work in this environment or are they considered really boring?
Or any recipes for veg terrines that don't involve roasting slices of aubergine/ courgette etc which are lovely but too time consuming when cooking for a crowd.
Or any other ideas would be gratefully received. Thank you

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie

It sounds delicious.
It is! Also add salt! I make the paste 23 dec and put it in jar in fridge so it's quick to make on Boxing Day. Freshens up a leftovers buffet!

Also this meze cake is absolutely the epitome of a centre piece. It does include slicing aubergine and courgette which I know you said you didn't want. It's also time consuming but I can't tell you how worth it it is. You could buy the components like tapanade and baba ganoush as other ways it's a complete marathon.
It can be made ahead of time though and it's perfect with salads.

This is from the Bosh book and there's a video of it on their Facebook page.

I once did a lemon and black pepper cashew nut roast with Thai spiced butternut squash stuffing for a similar situation

@RockingMyFiftiesNot for your mushroom pate, just sub vegan cream cheese. It's one of the more palatable vegan cheeses, but especially when used as an ingredient I would bet your omni guests wouldn't even know. My favourite is the oatly one, violife is good but most supermarkets have their own bean
