Sd is spending Christmas with us this year. I have a main worked out for her and obviously veg sides. I've got some hummus and some coconut vegan soft cheese some vitalite. Obviously fruit and nuts are a given.

What other celebratory/special snacks and supplys would be good?

Ask her? Revolutionary I know...

Dates are traditional at Christmas, and peanuts and crisps.
Mince pies should be ok.
Stollen

It seems more hospitable to sort it out yourself - asking the guest can seem like it's a tricky problem for the host.

Make some mince pies with Jus-Rol pastry, and have some Linda McCartney sausage rolls for nibbling on.

Bailey's vegan almond liqueur...

Nousernameforme · 19/12/2018 22:41

Almond Bailey's is a great idea as I was looking into making some and wasn't sure I would have the time.
And the mince pies why did I not think of that.

I have asked regarding the dinner itself but I want to be able to lay enough vegan food on that she can go and pick at bits through the couple of days she is here and have a good variety.

Some mince pies- asda, Waitrose basic- are ok, check the back.

Asda is doing a dark chocolate torte, a dark chocolate bomb thing, and dark chocolate ganache pots all in their extra special range.

They also have vegan chocolate Brussels sprouts in their free from section.

Assuming she likes chocolate, you can tell I do Grin

Pringles are marked on them if they’re vegan. Ben and Jerry’s, cornettos and magnum all do vegan versions. For breakfast you could get jus rol croissants or pain au chocolats. Soya or other plant milk if she likes coffee or tea. Morrisons are doing veggies in blankets, M&S have vegan cauliflower cheese.

Nope.

'What snacks do you like?'.

Most people with vegan diets would prefer 1 or 2 snacks that they like, than 10 that they are ambivalent about/can't eat and that get wasted.

Oreos
Pringles
Dark chocolate
Lazy days kitchen goodies

Aldi do replica after eight mints which are dairy free.
