Help!! How can I get to London from manchester Next tues cheaply!

Need to be in london for half nine ideally (am) travelling from manchester and returning same day/evening.

Can't find anything below £150 ish for a return and have £70 expenses - can anyone helo or am I doomed? Short of sleeping on the streets that is when i arrive the middle of the night

i always get virgin trains and it always comes out around £70 ish .. last time i went i got v early train and the first class coach was the same as the regular.. virgin website v good

Well it's coming up as £87.10 - but that's for coming back at 7 and just found out it finishes at 2 so off to look again now

don't forget to factor in time to get from the evvent to the train station again

Have you looked at flying?

We found it to be loads cheaper than the train when looking at a Edinburgh to Birmingham journey last year.

Yeah same price as train unfortunately and will cost me £20 or so to get to the airport too.

I'm not worried about times if it is just me - but it is getting someone to be around for DS!!
