Center Parcs, Whinfell forest. V. excited as we are Irish and have not yet done a family holiday in the UK.

Clary · 17/05/2010 23:56

Pembrokeshire.

Yes we always have some nice weather. Tho as it's Wales it usually rains sometimes too

We heart it so don't mind a bit of rain.

Scotland. Camping. Must be mad!

OrmRenewed · 18/05/2010 15:41

Saundersfoot.

And yes of course I am. Hopeful. The odd summers when we actually get good weather are so lovely that the resulting hope sustains me through the freezing downpour years

Cornwall for 2 weeks in august.
Usually have good weather overall.
Love it anyway!

ruddynorah · 18/05/2010 17:56

newquay in july. fab weather last year, hoping for the same this year. we'll also be off to the lakes for a few weekends as we have family there.

TheHouseofMirth · 20/05/2010 19:01

Booked it (finally!) in Dittisham in July. Hope the weather's good but not expecting it to be. Pavlov what would you like as your prize?! If you have any suggestions for where to go with 1 yo and 5 yo boys and MIL if it's cold or wet, do let me know!

OrmRenewed I spent many childhood holidays on Saundersfoot beach and when I was about 11 my dad let mw drive the car down Pendine Sands. Think we might try it with the DSs next year (not the driving bit though).

sungirltan · 20/05/2010 19:10

We just got back from our week in Bideford. We managed to get plenty of sun and had great fun on the beach building sandcastles and catching crabs .

I've been to some great places abroad but I honestly don't think you can beat our fantastic beaches if you get a good week.

uggmum · 19/06/2010 23:27

Devon for 1 week & Isle of Wight for 2 weeks (Aug)
I expect beautiful weather!

blueshoes · 19/06/2010 23:40

cazzybabs · 20/06/2010 09:49

Norfolk for a week right at the end of the holiday - can't wait....

(those of you going to dorset - I am thinking of that for next year - and recommendations of places to stay would be good)

jumpyjan · 20/06/2010 10:01

Bosinver (again) - so excited - love it

piratecat · 20/06/2010 10:15

Dittisham one looks lovely, it's beautiful there. I live not far, hope you have a great time.
Not too far from Salcombe either, it's all very beautiful down here. Today it's so sunny and calm. Perfeck Devon day today!!

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 20/06/2010 10:29

we go to clarach bay in Aberystwyth a week today, really looking forward to it. it doesnt really matter about the weather (although a bit of sun would be nice) just looking forward to a week off!

notcitrus · 20/06/2010 10:45

Ventnor, Isle of Wight for a week in July. Figure it'll be warm and sunny there if anywhere. And there should be stuff to do if wet (the house we're renting should entertain toddlers for a while)

People keep saying we're mad to go by public transport but surely it's just like going abroad where you have to carry everything for part of the journey. And it's 3 1/2 hours including walk to station, 2 trains, boat, train, bus to outside house, which should all be very exciting for the boys. As opposed to just as long in a car and one being carsick and the other complaining about being stuck...

Can't wait!
