We're considering going but have never been before so I'm after some general advice please

Firstly, is WiFi available either in the accommodation itself or somewhere else ? DH is self employed and its apparently essential

Any thoughts on whether Sherwood or the one in Wiltshire (Whinfell) is better ?

Does anyone know if the living areas in the 3 and 4 bedrooms are the same size ? Is there plenty of room in the double rooms for a cot ?

Finally, we are looking at either Comfort Plus or the Woodland Lodge. Are they both ok ?

TIA

Don't know about wifi I'm afraid - but it's supposed to be a holiday!

The Wiltshire one is Longleat (Whinfell is in Cumbria!). I think they're all pretty much the same.

Living areas are also pretty much the same size (i.e. roomy) in both 3 and 4 bed. And yes there should be room for a cot in the double (presume you'rer sharing with LO?). They do provide cots as standard btw.

Comfor plus and lodges both OK - I have a slight preference for the lodges - just more rustic!

Thank you

I hear you about the WiFi

Can only comment about Longleat. That has WiFi in Plaza and Jardin des Sport public area's. It is available in Executive villa's, not in other levels but may be picked up if you happen to be close to an Executive. WiFi can be flaky and slow at times, so ok for e-mail and Mumsnet but not for anything more challenging.
4 bed comfort plus seemed to me to have same size, living area to 3 bed woodland.

We stayed at Longleat at the end of last year. We managed to get wifi in our lodge as it was so central to the Plaza.

Personally, I prefer paying the extra for Woodland. At Longleat, they are more central than the comfort + lodges, which tend to be quite far out in the site. Longleat is so hilly, that unless you like biking, it is usually best to stay as central as you can.

If you go on the Centre Parcs website and onto their maps / siteplan - it will actually show you where the wifi is (as a PP said, most frequently the Jardin de sports and Plaza). But you can also pay the extra (about £40) to actually choose your lodge - so you can try to book a lodge as close to a wifi area as possible.

Oh and plenty of room in a double for a cot.
