Does Ocado or other supermarkets deliver to Center Parcs??

Anyone know?? I'm sure I've read something on here about it once but I can't find it. We're going to Longleat next week and I'm so fed up of cooking anyway. Could also do with the extra room in the car to pack bikes, scooters etc.

ponce
dont think so

They do not allow outside deliveries of any kind.

GoldenSnitch · 01/12/2009 21:13

The "Parc Market" onsite will deliver to your accomodation (Ithink it's free if you spend over £40) so I doubt they would let any outside supermarkets do the same.

kateecass · 01/12/2009 21:17

Thanks, IlanaK didn't think so.

Oi, I'm fed up with cooking cos I have to hold my 1 yo DD on my hip while I cook or she screams her head off holding onto my feet. Then when I do drag my 3 yo away from the tv he refuses to eat it and she throws it to the dog.

If you fancy a night off, most Center Parcs have a takeaway delivery - you can get pizza, indian and/or chinese and ice cream delivered to your accomodation. Even all at once if you like as you can pick and mix from the three menus.

Take frozen "Little Dish" for the kids in a cool box. They'll have defrosted once you get there and you can oven/microwave them.

Or i've cooked and frozen lasagne before and taken it to cook on the first night...

Or eat out.

Can you tell I only got back from CP on Friday?

nannynick · 01/12/2009 21:28

There is a Morrisons within a couple of miles of CP Longleat. Center Parcs do let you out, so you could go there on first morning and stock up. Would need to transport food from CP car park to your villa though.

Avoid planning to cook much in the oven at CP, it always seems to take ages. Hobs are fine though. Back in July I posted some typical prices at Parc Marc, so that may help you get a feel for prices there. Fruit, Veg and Meat I find tend to be expensive.

GoldenSnitch · 01/12/2009 21:28

The Parc Market will sell pre-made stuff too.

Takeaway does free delivery on Mon and Fri. DiningIn Menu Oct09 (PDF)

Eating out can be expensive though Sports Cafe does BOGOF deals which vary depending on the day of the week - See Menu: Sports Cafe Menu Oct09 (PDF) - Tue/Sun is BOGOF Burger (cheapest free) for example.

We went same time last year to Nottingham. We're staying in Longleat this time to be near to visit sister's new baby. DS was only 2 the but really remembers it and is v excited. Told teachers at preschool we are going!!

I am going to leave the kids there with DH and MIL for a day so wanted to leave food for them to eat without having to go back and forth to shops. DH doesn't think what's for tea til 5 mins before and MIL just had an op on her hand and not supposed to use it.

Think I'll take a bit with me, they can eat out a bit then I'll bring more food back with me.

I packed a coolbox and took a couple of bags ful of groceries. We ended up bringing loads of it back again but I always knew there was something to eat...
