a 320 odd percent hike for the October half term week!

CP are trying to justify it and failing!

I wouldn't pay it again. When the dcs were toddling/preschooling and it was all about just being away from home for a bit it was worth it, for the 1.5 hour drive to our nearest CP.

Now they are school age we are confined to school hols (£££), the kids want to do all the activities (£££) and they are big enough to be happily occupied on a longer journey/flight.

I suppose because the pool complex is pretty huge and you could happily spend all day there and there's all the other on site stuff - playgrounds, soft plays etc that are free. If you go off peak it's really not expensive, especially if you're organised with taking your own food. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea (one of my sisters swears that nothing on earth would entice her to ever set foot in the place ) but for us it's worked brilliantly.

DH & I have been to CP nearly every year now for about 13 years. DD is now 7 and we are going again in December- however, I'm not sure about next year as there seems to be very few activities for the age 8-10 kids.
We have all loved bedtime club for the last 6 years as its a perfect opportunity to try the spa where the kids just aren't allowed to go! Will be very sad when she's 8 and too old for these clubs and we have enjoyed some much needed time off for us while letting DD broaden her experiences of new clubs etc.
Will miss these early years clubs greatly!
