Derbyshire in the Summer - matlock - need things to do!!

Anyone been to Derbyshire - near Matlock - in the summer and been to any great attractions, etc!

We are going for a week in August, and I need to organise a list of things to do / must see, etc, so any advice would be great!

It's smelly!

the boat is fab.

It's in Derby Museum and Art Gallery along with some spooky mummies and lots of stuff about Joseph Wright. We luuurve it.

I like the stuffed animals.

I still don't know who you are Clary. We should go for coffee.

Matlock park farm is literally just down the road from Darwin forest.

Can recommend the grouse and claret for food , its on the A6 in Rowsley, its lovely!

was just thinking that myself. I could take you to Keddy Hall (except with all the DC we wouldn't fit in the car

lol! I get all day Wednesday off so could meet for coffee in that cafe in Allestree after the school run.

Ah, Weds is tricky due to after-school swimming plus it's my later day @ work. In fact it's the only day I don't do the school run!

Hmm. I'm only in a rush on Mondays and Friday mornings so take your pick.
