Edinburgh - tips and advise , please

Thinking about going to Edinburgh for 3 nights in August with 2 children (8 & 5).

Anyone tips on where to stay, what to do etc?

If you make it out of Edinburgh try Butterfly World here. The Dobbies Garden Centre next to it has a great cafe and there are fish and lots to see as well.

I can't wait until my dd is old enough to go to the camera Obscura -(gives me an excuse to go as well!)

Oh that's interesting. Last time we were in Edinburgh we thought the Camera Obscura looked a bit gimmicky, so we gave it a wide berth. We will pencil it in as a definite possibility now!

If you have Tesco vouchers I think you can exchange them for Camera Obscura entrance at 1/4 price. Never been to the Dogs must give it a go.

Thank you so much for that tip rookiemater! I have £20 of Tesco Days Out Vouchers pinned to my board, that run out at the end of April. So that will cover a fair whack of entry to Camera Obscura. Sorted
