Granny can easily get to Leominster station, and less easily get to Hereford station.

I live in Leeds and can pick her up from any nearby station (Leeds, York, Harrogate etc).

Granny is too frail and blind to change trains so we need a direct train from somewhere near her to somewhere near me. I can't find anything closer than Manchester!

I've spoken to the helpline and they weren't terribly helpful so now I'm wracking my brain and playing on the National Rail Website to no avail.

Can anyone with a better grasp of UK geography than me, and L33t web searching skillz help?

I've taken the train to Manchester to meet her / see her off before. Looks like I'll do it again. Shame we can't seem to get her any closer. Either that or the coach. I have a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old in tow - they'd probably love an adventure on the train!

Don't think the Manchester trains go to Wakey. Also, it costs £10 to park in the Wakefield station car-park.

£10 I have only done the Leeds/ Dewsbury stretch.
