Can't help but watching this tread as I am interested in booking.

I haven't stayed in the "village" although from the brochure I picked up it does look lovely. My DH has heard that some of the treatment rooms haven't been finished so they are having to use a cottage until the proper treatment place is sorted out.

I have been to the Blue Lagoon which is the indoor pool. This is brilliant, loads of lifeguards, very clean and well set up. Both of my kids are over 8 years old and are allowed o go on the slides etc by themselves, so DH and I take a book each and lounge on a couple of the wooden loungers they have there.

hi , i saw a recent article on take the family website re the bluestone property, think it said that the work has finished now etc

willali · 24/09/2008 12:42

I do know that they charge £48 for a (non-resident) family to go swimming there - complete rip off

jellyshoeswithdiamonds · 29/09/2008 10:06

willali ~ I agree that it is expensive for a non resident to go. The thing is, if you pay online you get a small discount. You have three hours in the lagoon for your money and one very important point .... where it is in west wales there is nothing like this around, the closest facility offering something similar is in Swansea which is a good 2 hour or more drive away.

For local people, they are offering a season ticket which can be used through the winter months.

We've booked it for the summer - to anyone who has been, do you know if it has Wi-fi access? The grumpy teenager may be happier if she can take her laptop (and I can always try to sneak on MN as well...)

AbbyMumsnet · 08/01/2009 15:57

Not sure about wifi in lodges, but there was definitely computers you could use in the sports centre, and am pretty sure we got wifi in the pub. Mobile reception is poor in areas though.

saggyhairyarse · 08/01/2009 21:54

My friend recently went and emailed me tospecifically say it would be brilliant for me and she had great time.

llareggub · 08/01/2009 21:56

Is it next door to Oakwood Park?
