Going to Glasgow for an extended time in November. Travelling with a 6 month old and 2 and a half year old

what things are good for the children to do in Glasgow during the winter? Or nearby

The following are all super:

The Glasgow Science Centre
The Riverside Museum (transport museum)
The Kelvingrove Art Galleries

Seconding the science centre, it's fab for kids

All of the above, also Pollock Park is great, just wrap up warmly. If you have a car The Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel are near each other and would make a day out. There’s a cracking park at the Kelpies too.

There's a great wee soft play at Kelvinhall if you're central. In reasonable weather there are tons of amazing parks all round the city, and Summerlee museum is brilliant.

If you have a car and want to get out of the city, Edenmill has both indoor and outdoor options and Mugdock worth a visit if the weather is reasonable. Also Monty's farm park and Heads of Ayr.

There's a Facebook group called 'Glasgow Mums Group' which is very active with brilliant recommendations.

They are young children - some of the ideas I can suggest are realistically too old for thhem
If the weather plays nicely, the botanic gardens are nice for a walk and run off some steam.
Transport museum.
Also, just for fun, ride the underground?
Day trip to Arran or Loch lomond on public transport.

November in Glasgow can be really, really poor weather.

free /cheap indoor activities are your friend. What area will you be in? Find the local playgroups and go to them in the mornings. Also the libraries are v welcoming to toddlers and babies.
also:

botanic gardens kibble palace (glasshouse, free)
Kelvingrove museum
riverside museum

might be worth checking price of an annual pass to science centre? It’s expensive, but from memory under 3s are free and you could happily entertain the 2 year old for hours, repeatedly.

we have relatives in the area - my kids enjoyed the playbarn " Pandamonium" in Erskine near the Bridge if you are that side of Glasgow when they were very much smaller . We thought it quite civilised compared to the feral ones in England we were used to. I remember they had characters like Elsa come out every so often to enter the kids. Check trip advisor for up to date reviews. The science centre is very child friendly for young children. My youngest asked to go back.

Agree Pandamonium is a great soft play and has a really good area for the little ones.

The libraries all offer lovely song and story sessions for preschoolers called Bookbug - they're free but you usually have to book in advance on EventBrite.

Thinking about more free/low cost activities - there's a Gruffalo trail at Kilmardinny Loch and the Children's Wood in north Kelvinside - puddlesuits and wellies definitely needed in November. Garscube playrooms is quite cheap from memory. There's all kinds of events on at the Merry-go-round in Strathbungo and I've heard good things about the play gym at the Palace of Art though I've not taken mine there yet.

Mydustymonstera

unknown which area yet - it’s out of my hands but should be pretty central apparently, but I’m guess it will depends on what’s available.
