We are planning to go tomorrow, and other than go early, I don't know anything else about it. I understand there is a lot to see and explore, so I would like to know what people recommend as a must see, please!

Are trainers sturdy enough for walking about in, or willI need walking boots?

We will be travelling by car and using g the free car park.

It’s all one thing really, there’s no “must see” because it’s not exactly multiple sites.
There’s a small museum and cafe and the causeway.
Trainers will be fine.

If you’re up for a decent walk, and are going early anyway, I would recommend parking at Dunseverick and walking the cliff top path round to the causeway and back. The most stunning views, a really lovely walk, and really makes a day of it rather than a quick trip to the causeway on its own. You can walk down to the stones from the cliff top, and then back up again to walk back to Dunseverick.

It IS a trek (about 5 miles or so each way), but it’s not a hard walk, and my DC have all done it since the age of about 7 or 8. You can also catch a bus back from the causeway to Dunseverick to collect your car if you don’t want to walk back.

The wee carpark at Dunseverick does get full quickly though, so you’d be needing to get there early to get a space.

Thank you both.

We will be parking at Portballintrae, it is around 2 miles form GC I understand.

I went to the giants causeway last year. We parked in the car park outside it.
There’s a visitor centre you go through first the walk down to the stones. I think the ticket price entitles you to a tour guide but we didn’t use that.
It’s a lovely walk and the stones are impressive but there isn’t anything else to do or see there unless you’re talking about the surrounding area?

Decent pair of trainers will be fine.
