Best London areas for vintage clothes shopping and burgers with a teenager

Was wondering if you knowledgeable lot could help.

Am taking my 16 year old DS to London for two nights tomorrow as a post GCSE treat.

He loves second hand , vintage clothes. I used to love Camden market for stuff like that when I was his age, nearly 30 years ago but I've read that it's not the quirky place it was. Is that right? Any recommendations for places to go or areas that have good charity shops?

Also would be interested if there are any recommendations for good places to eat . He loves a good burger !

Camden Markets is still fantastic. And absolutely vast. There are now some stores that are a bit more upmarket, but you’ll still find plenty of vintage stalls. And heaps of food options.

Brick lane definitely.. Camden is nothing like it used to be.

Brick Lane for vintage, Spitalfields nearby for burgers! Camden still very popular too.

Thank you! Haven't been to that area for so long wanted to check.

Also try Islington - Camden Passage (near Angel tube not near Camden!) on a Sunday has some vintage clothing stores and stalls plus quite a few charity shops including a massive Fara store on the main road down to Kings Cross.

Camden passage very gentrified but some gems still to be found and loads of eating options there as well. You could make a lovely day of it starting in Camden and then walking along the canal to Islington?

There are some brilliant charity shops in Notting Hill and High Street Ken. But Camden is still really good fun. There are also quite a few vintage shops in Covent Garden and one in Argyll Street.

Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Hoxton, all that area. Take the Uber boat down to the Tower and walk up. If it’s a weekend, the City will be deserted, so easy to walk around. Try to get a slot at the Skygarden?
