Renewing child’s passport when the father cannot be contacted, he has PR and court order

Hi everyone, renewing my daughter's passport who is 9. Dad is on birth certificate. Child has my surname. We have a court order stating child should live with me and also dad must not remove child from me or anyone I trust without my permission.
First passport dad was around so he gave his details. He is supposed to see daughter every week but he hasn’t seen her in a month. No contact. Can’t reach him. He does this often and then pops up.
I applied for her renewed passport about 3 weeks ago. They are asking for my court letter, which is fine and his details and for him to sign a letter confirming he consents.
I haven’t been able to get hold of him. I was told to write a letter along with my court letter stating this. Will they contact him on my behalf? Is this going to be a problem to renew it? Is my court letter enough to apply alone? Thank you all!

You say they are asking for the court letter, so you’ll need to get in touch again and explain the situation and ask for their advice.
It’s a bit strange though, with it being a renewal passport. Generally all the thorough information gathering is for the first, and all subsequent passports are easier.
