Spring break ideas please

DH has recently had a health scare. He's much better, but we don't know if he'll make a full recovery (ie might tire quickly sometimes which is the main thing that would impact a holiday).

Any ideas please for a Spring break (2-4 nights)? I'd normally have loads of ideas. Needs to be within two hour drive of Gloucestershire (I hate driving, and he can't for the foreseeable) or possibly a bit further by train. Maybe somewhere with shops to potter around, things to do or could be somewhere with great scenery for walks. He's allowed to walk (funnily enough hill walking ok, but gym not for a few months), but should avoid getting his blood.

We'd actually booked a log cabin in Forest of Dean for next month, so something different from that.

Stratford Upon Avon, maybe with a side trip to Warwick Castle

Bradford-on-Avon is nice. It's good for a potter and there's walks along the canal.

England: Lyme Regis if you fancy seaside, Ludlow for green hills & scenery. Both got plenty of cute shops.
Don't rule out South Wales either, there are some great places to visit. Recommend Abergavenny or maybe Brecon for market town charm, or Mumbles for seaside, shops and restaurants plus the Gower on your doorstep. Or a city break in Cardiff would also work, plenty to see / do / eat, and you would leave the car at home.

Windsor and Eton. Lots to see and do, Castle, sightseeing bus, walks, river walks, boat trips, shops, theatre, The Great Park.
