Hotel recommendations in UK

We want to take my parents, who are both in their 90s, for a 2 day break in Feb or March. South or South West preferably. Has to have one accessible room as my DF has limited mobility. They are both big foodies so preferably in a place with a good choice of restaurants ( or a good restaurant in the hotel itself). Budget up to about £200. I will ask Chat GPT but nothing beats a personal recommendation.

£200 to cover what though? Per person per night not including food? For one night? Two rooms or three?

Weekend or weekday?

How about somewhere in padstow? Rick stein hotels might be a bit above 200 but the whole town has great food!

£200 per room bed and breakfast, weekday break.

https://boringdonhall.co.uk/ is fab, but call and discuss their access arrangements first - some of the building is modern, but I think the Michelin restaurant is up some stairs.

https://www.scarlethotel.co.uk/ is also fab and is adult only, and the sister hotel is the Bedruthan Steps which includes kids. I'd have the same discussion about accessibility though as they are built into cliffs.

They both look lovely. I’m thinking they may both be too rugged in terms of scenery for my parents - DF can only do flat walks.

Is that £200 per night. Burley Manor in the New Forest and Tortwoth in Gloucestershire and lovely but check with them about accessible room, what assistance does he need. If look at booking.com and use the different filters.

Yes per night. I’ve looked at the one in Gloucestershire - def on the list.

Look at both the DeVere, they do run special offers too, they have quite a few hotels in the south

I’ve heard good things about Warner hotels

Wetherspoons hotels are fantastic value for money. The rooms are big and you get tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. We were told on our last stay that if you bring your mug to the bar you can get free tea and coffee. Just remember to take it back up.
