Baby and dog friendly spa recommendations

My friend has twin boys coming up for 5 months old. She would like to take them on a spa break with me and her two dogs. Our partners are coming too. She would like her twins to have their first pool experience there. Does anyone have any recommendations that fit the bill? Ideally in the Midlands or at least not too far North or South so we can meet up there. I'm trying to find one but not that many spas are both baby and dog friendly!

Do you mean the partners will look after the dogs - take them for a walk or something? What will you do with the baby whilst you're in the sauna etc.?

Favouritefruits · 30/10/2025 08:07

No spas will baby friendly! Have you thought about Ribby hall? It’s a 5star holiday village with an amazing spa. It has a kids pool and they do dog friendly accommodation. I think that’s the best you’ll get to be honest.

Center parcs feels like the best bet to me.

Pashazade · 30/10/2025 08:13

Go to Center Parcs, pools great for the kids and husbands, you guys can go to the Aqua Sana, dogs are permitted in some of the lodges. There are dog walking areas on site. There’s Elveden (Norfolk/Suffolk border) and Woburn (just north of London) that are roughly central.

Agree, you need somewhere you can go on holiday that is baby and dog friendly and also has a spa.

But there will still be compromises as in the adults will need to take turns looking after the babies and dogs as you probably won't be able to leave the dogs unattended (maybe in SC accommodation but I'd have thought not in a hotel room) and you'll only be able to take babies in a swimming pool, but not the actual spa, and probably only in certain hours unless they have a proper family pool.

With the above in mind, the obvious choices are Center Parcs, Bluestone, Swinton Park in North Yorkshire.

But why does she want her babies first experience of a pool on holiday like this? They don't know what's going on so why can't she just take them to the local baths with you or her DP?

No one wants babies or dogs at dedicated spas. Find a family hotel with a pool and a spa on site or nearby that you can go to.

CharlesPetrescu · 30/10/2025 08:24

Thank you all for your replies. I had suggested Centreparcs to my friend but she wasn't keen for some reason. I think my friend is probably asking for the impossible. 😅
@Bjorkdidit I agree with you that the local pool would be a better bet for a first time pool experience.
@Favouritefruits Thank you for the suggestion. Ribby Hall looks fabulous and has a kids pool. I checked the age restrictions for the spa hotel and it's adults only.

Yes, I think logistically that our partners would need to look after the dogs. My friend would have to go to the spa on her own or with me or her DH while the other two /three of us look after the kids and the doggies.

What an odd request. I don’t think you will find many spas that accept babies and children. Quite rightly in my opinion. You go to a spa for a relaxing time, not to be in a crèche.

Absolutely this!

Probably to far away but the New Park Manor in the New forest would fit the bill.
Family friendly spa and dog friendly. Kids are only allowed in the Pool at certain times and it has separate adult only spa areas. It’s a lovely hotel.

Have a look at Elcot the Retreat. And Signet hotels. They fit what you want.
We go with dog and grandchildren.

Sounds fun 😂

Seriously though, Centre Parcs is a good option

You're never going to find a spa or dedicated spa hotel that allows babies, there's hotels that are family and even dog friendly that have spas as an optional though. With dogs I would seriously consider centre parcs (and I say that as someone who really doesn't like CP!!)

CharlesPetrescu · 04/11/2025 07:52

Thanks all. We booked Oulton Hall near Leeds in the end.

Deffo look at places like New Park Manor hotel in the new forest. They have 2 hours of childcare provided for every night stayed and are a dog friendly hotel and have a spa. They are part of a chain called luxury family hotels all over the south coast.

@donli82

Thank you - I have sent the link to my friend for future reference.

A baby and dog friendly spa sounds like hell on earth.

GreenLemonade · 30/11/2025 13:48

I know you've already booked but for future trips I recommend Four Seasons Hampshire. It's dog and kid friendly and has a lovely spa.
