We have just returned from a week at Haven blue dolphin and I just wanted to warn others against it. it was like Chav Central and our caravan wasn't very clean, There was even an empty crisp packet under the bed!!!

Was walking down to the shop one day and heard a boy of about 8 call his brother/friend a fat C**t I was so stunned I actually told him off but he just laughed and walk away.

Was glad to get home

Where is Blue Dolphin? Have been on two Haven holidays the past couple of years, Weymouth and Clacton. Both were great (and much cheaper than Centreparcs..) Sorry you had a bad time

ha ha I clicked on this to say "don't go!"

Me too
There are other Haven sites which are better.

blue dolphin is in yorkshire, near filey/scarborough. I've been to a few havens over the past few years and have always loved them but this one was a real letdown!

I read the message about blue dolphin and just wanted to say that when we went we had a great time.
We didn't stay in a caravan though we were in the camping area and it was great. We were there for the August bank holiday. On the camping area there are little park areas with swings etc and there is a no noise policy after 11pm which is enforced by the security that patrol through the night.
There were plenty of families there and it was so nice that all the children of all different ages were playing together and all adults were keeping an eye on them, in fact early evening a few of us adults sat together and had a few drinks whilst the kids played.
When camping you also get the funworks passes to enable you to access all the onsite facilities and participate in the organised facilities. We went swimming a few times but went first thing as to avoid the peak times. We did go to the variety club one night but only stayed for half an hour as there was too many chavs and underage drinkers in there for our liking.
If you have a tent it is worth going as they do some great deals. We are going for a week next month and it has only cost us £53.00 and that includes the funworks passes. Its a great base as you are close to the coast and many attractions but if yu just fancy a lazy day there are plenty of things to do onsite.
