Zip line at Llechwed

Has anyone done the massive zip lines at Llechwed? What's it like? What sort of harness do they use - do you dangle from the harness or are you clipped into some sort of seat? And what's the landing like?

Yes, I know. Sorry that I missed out a d. I'm asking for people's personal experiences, rather than the promotional material.

There's a short clip on the site, and I asked Alwyn if you sit in a harness.

"Yes, participants do sit in a harness during activities at Zip World. When you check in, you will be fitted into a harness and shown how to use the equipment safely. The harness is an essential part of the safety gear for most of our adventures, helping secure you as you navigate the courses, zip lines, and obstacles. If you are doing a course like the Full Trek or Zip Safari, you will be trained on how to use the harness and its attachments before starting the main course. The harness supports you throughout the activity to ensure your safety. If you have any specific adventure in mind, I can provide more detailed information about the harness use for that experience."

I've no direct experience, but it looks exhilarating.

@Dilbertian I bought this for DH for his birthday a few years back. He said it was amazing. [I'm a total wimp so absolutely no way!] You start out at the lower site where you get kitted out and harnessed etc alongside a safety/instruction briefing, and then everyone is taken by van up to the launch point. I waited at the lower site to film him coming down and the line is so long that it took quite a while before I could see him. He was in a sort of lying down cage so he flew like Superman down the zipline if that makes sense. When people slow down towards the end of the ride the staff catch them, swing them over and release all the harnesses etc. DH loved it and has thoroughly recommended it to everyone else who's asked.
