Pretty/charming villages in Norfolk Broads

My family is coming from the States and has rented a cottage about 10 miles W of Norwich. I'd like to find a cottage near them, but it's proving difficult.

I thought I'd try the Broads instead but don't know the area. Where are the nice/pretty/charming places to stay? DS is only 10 weeks, so no need to be near kid-oriented stuff.

Horning, Stalham, Hickling, Potter Heigham are all on the broads

Stalham is a pretty market town (with a fair sized Tesco)

Stalham & Hickling have lovely little houseboats ideal with a baby

Sutton, Filby, Rollesby, Fleggburgh Less so but close

I echo Horning and Potter Heigham (or even Martham). Salhouse is quite nice and has a brewery (Woodfordes with pub attached) and Coltishall is very pretty but not right on the Broads.

Avoid Wroxham - very busy.

I was at Sutton Staithe today having a picnic

It was lovely

I like Hickling & Potter Heigham, Stalham - agree with biscuits to avoid Wroxham as too busy (but is main place for boat hire)
