LLeyn Peninsula HELP have we made a terrible mistake

we've booked a cottage somewhere frighteningly remote and it will just be the two of us plus our 1yo for a week.

has anyone got any advice on good day trips around that area? DP and I like a good walk and ruined castles but I guess some of that will be curtailed by a mostly pushchair-bound DD.

I can't even bring myself to think what it will be like if it rains all week...... Someone please ease my panic.

You can see why DP vetoed abroad with a baby now can't you? I'm lists-and-worrying type of holidaymaker.

Had a wonderful holiday there with dd when she was 15 months. Very !

Also:
Someone has mentioned the electric mountain visitor centre in Llanberis. Tucked away at the back of this is a soft play area which is really nice. Handy if you have a one year old and it's chucking it down.
Not sure where on the Lleyn you are staying but Llanberis has quite a lot to offer like bog standard park, little train round lake, waterfall, quarry museum, little castle, Pete's Eats for a greasy fry up ...

Llanberis! thank you! Senile moment over...

the mention of electric mountain has sent my dp into a nostalgic reverie

this is fantastic I feel like we've booked the best holiday in the world now. DD will probably love the butterfly place and the rabbit farm. Although we may hit another DP veto there in case I start hankering after another pet. (I'm not allowed near Knowsley safari park, in case I steal adopt a baboon.) I shall substitute worrying about the holiday for worrying we won't want to leave. Always good to have something to worry about

sorry for making you liath? No chance of you going back?

Ohhhh oh oh the beaches, the views, it's such a beautiful place. Go to Hells Mouth and collect mussels and boil them for lunch.

Oh I could cry. It was my child hood holiday home and I loved it there, haven'#t been for 14 years.

I'm hoping to go back, GW. We're going to Dumfries & Galloway this year but would love to organise a big family holiday to the Llyn penninsula one year, all the kids would have a ball.
