London - family celebratory meal, ideas please!

Six people across three generations aged 8-80 having a celebratory meal (either lunch, afternoon tea or pre-theatre) somewhere around Kensington-Knightsbridge (ideally near South Kensington/Royal Albert Hall).

DC have ASD/ADHD, one of the older adults is hearing impaired, we have some dietary requirements (one veggie, one very unadventurous eater). I'm really struggling to think of anything that meets all our needs, which are:

-some sense of occasion
-but not too stuffy/formal
-must be able to accommodate fussy/unadventurous eaters
-not too busy/noisy

Budget maybe £50-£60 pp but can flex. Any ideas?!

What about a proper afternoon tea? That would give you the sense of occasion and works for vegetarians and unadventurous eaters and most tend to keep the cakes and sandwiches coming as long as you ask (handy if you have teens in the party). I have had the one at Harrods - that is a walk from the Albert Hall - and it isn't bad, and not at all stuffy (and not noisy). Verdi at the Albert Hall does one but can't vouch for that but there seem to be a lot of options nearby Book the Best Places for Afternoon Tea in Kensington & Chelsea – London

Da Mario sounds like it might be best for your group. However, on busy nights it can have quite a buzz so I’d specifically ask to be tucked away in a quiet corner.

I swear by the Ampersand Hotel afternoon teas with kids, it’s right there in South Ken. Gorgeous setting and luxurious enough to feel like a treat and fun for adults, whilst a big hit with kids (and some of the food doubles as an activity - mixing your drinks with test tubes or digging in cake ‘dirt’ for chocolate dinosaur bones) I’m veggie and think the effort they’ve gone into making the dishes feel ‘special’ for all dietary requirements is incredible. Still dreaming of some of the sandwiches 😂

They’re themed by the nearby museums - SciFi and Jurassic versions if either are a hit. https://ampersandhotel.com/eat-drink/apero/jurassic-afternoon-tea/

Edit to add : I’ve done it both with kids and without and both groups loved it. The staff were also AMAZING with ASD nephew which made the whole thing even more special.

I was thinking afternoon tea but not sure whether it’s what the older generation had in mind - I will sound them out. Good to see the recommendation for Amoersand, I’d been looking at that myself.

I’ll have a look at Da Mario. Not being too noisy though is definitely non-negotiable.

In that case, I’d go for Rocca. It’s further away from the Royal Albert Hall but the tables are further apart and seemed quieter when we went.
