Have a little look at the dibb website and forum. Heaps of information on there. I haven't been to Paris disney but have been to others- lots of youtube vlogs available with tips for booking.
I like themepark worldwide and brit fam, but there are loads!
Have a gorgeous time!

take the eurostar, stay in a hotel that isn't branded by disney but is nearby. I think one day is plenty.

Rollercoaster1920 · 20/01/2025 22:18

We did a day trip from Paris last year, had a great time.

If you are just going for Disney then stay there if you can. The fireworks are 11pm so very late and everyone is exhausted. On fact the rides stop at 10 so you end up hanging around which makes it even more tiring.
The metro Train to Paris is very easy, if not staying in Disney then stay right by a station on the line between Paris and Disney.

Eurostar allows your Mickey balloon on board (can't do that if you fly) and not needing to drive on holiday is amazing.

I took my dd at that age and we had a lovely time. We went into Paris on the RER for half a day as well.
There used to be better deals but at the moment I've found that staying in a Disney hotel with the tickets included is good. I've sometimes paid for a meal plan and sometimes not. If not, I like to go to the supermarket at val d'europe for bits.
Staying at a Disney hotel means you get the extra magic hour so you get on the rides quicker.
Sequoia is good value for money I think and the pool is fab for kids.

The website lets you pay in installments which I've found really handy.

Notgivenuphope · 20/01/2025 22:25

Fab age for a mother-daughter trip.
I second getting the Eurostar or flight. Take the pressure off yourself.
Have the best time!

Thanks everyone.
I feel like we need a treat, single parent and just taken on a full time all year round job which is demanding.
I looked at the coach trip which takes you there but it takes 10 hours to get there...
I looked on disney website and for hotel tickets and half board it was £1080 ish... Just need to get there!

Eurostar £281, what happens when you get off at the end? Can you walk to hotel?!

Depends where you want to stay. Do you want to stay in Paris and get the train to Disney? Or do you want to stay in a Disney-adjacent hotel? How many nights do you want to go for?

FreezingJane · 20/01/2025 22:43

I'd personally recommend flying in. Eurostar needs changes and driving is very long from the UK.

The airport is a ten minute transfer on the train from Disney and it's very straight forward. I've done all methods and as a single parent, I wouldn't hesitate to fly.

Paris is fairly easy to get to from Marne La Val, but I'd really only recommend it if it was something you'd love to do - unless you're very confident navigating large cities.

Personally, if you can afford it, get an early flight and stay onsite with Disney. The park closes earlier in the winter (you can check on the official website for closure times), so you won't necessarily be out all day and night. When you factor in park tickets, it's often not too much more than partner hotels.

Book directly through Disney as you'll get the best deals.

And finally - DO IT! It's a firm favorite of ours and your 10 year old will love it. And so will you! 😆

Sounds stressful lol!
If I do it id like to stay at disney, not sure what hotel. Food package would be a bonus too!

It can be as complicated or straight forward as you want it to be. There is a lot of information online and it can be a bit overwhelming if you spend too much time reading around it. .

If you stay onsite you have access to an extra hour in the parks each day and the convenience of being close to the parks. There is transport that will take you door to door, although you can walk to all onsite hotels easily enough. Onsite hotels also have cute Disney stores and will also have characters dotted around the grounds or in a particular place each day - which your DD might like.
Onsite hotels also come with tickets to the parks for each day you stay. EG, if you stay Friday and Saturday, you get tickets for Friday-Sunday.

I'd recommend not visiting during school holidays or weekends if you can help it, as the parks get so busy, but you may be restricted with school. Try and avoid French holidays if you can't avoid UK ones.

Partner hotels are located fairly close to Disney and also have shuttle busses to the parks. They don't have the same Disney extras and although they're fine, they're not quite as luxurious as a Disney hotel - however, they can be good value.

Saying that, as I mentioned above, when you add on the ticket prices, it often isn't that much more to stay onsite and have the onsite perks.

If you book direct, you can buy flights, hotel and tickets all in one go. The meal plans are a good shout as the breakfasts are fantastic (if you like croissants and nutella!).

Sometimes it's cheaper to book flights and accommodation separately. So that means booking hotel and tickets online direct, then just add your flights/whatever transport you opt for independently.

Everything else doesn't really matter. The Dibb forum is great ( as mentioned in a PP). However, there is so much info to digest online, which you don't really need. Just turn up and have a great time and you'll figure it all out. Next time you go, you'll be able to dig a little deeper. Because you will go back!

FreezingJane · 20/01/2025 23:20

The Disney hotels are all quite different. The Disney website will give you some pictures, but a quick search on YouTube will show you the main differences.

For most people it comes down to cost. As with most things, the more you pay, generally, the better something will be.

I really enjoy the Newport Bay Club. It's a midrange hotel, but feels a bit more luxurious there. The restaurant for breakfast is lovely and the staff have always been great. It also has a lovely (cold!!) pool.

A favorite for many is hotel Cheyenne. It's also a midrange hotel (It used to be 2 star, but was recently upgraded). It's got great theming is good value for money. The restaurant is also great.

Any of the suggested forums will give you loads of info about the hotels - and if you're not sure, TripAdvisor is always a good shout with honest reviews.

I've been to DLP 7 times and used to work for Disney so it's my fave topic. If you have any questions please message me! It's the most amazing place x

DGPP · 21/01/2025 08:31

You’ll have a great time. Stay in a Disney hotel, being in site is great and you can go back out for the fireworks. One day is not plenty as somebody said above, as always go for 3!

Lindy2 · 21/01/2025 09:03

Have you considered doing it as an organised coach trip?

It's a long drive to Paris on a coach but it's a pretty good way of making things as straightforward as possible. Usually all your transport, accommodation and Disney entrance tickets are included in the price.

Lisa4610 · 26/01/2025 18:21

In one word this place is magical
Try to buy the ticket on line it's even cheaper than when you buy it in the PARC - https://tiqets.tp.st/Ip1systN prepare for the day ahead of time you will spend the day there until the PARC closes at around 21:30 take what you need in a backpack and wear comfortable clothes and running shoes. Once there select the games that have a long queue and you want to do them and get the fast passe continue your section do the games that you want and then get back on time that is mentioned on a ticket.
The place has all what you need food public toilets coffee if you want .
Enjoy your day there and make sure to not miss the parade at around 5 pm and the fireworks.
