Hi. Looking for votes on the best theme parks for 2 & 5 year old.
We have done Lightwater valley, Flamingo Land, Portaventura, Disneyland Paris, Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Many thanks!

I will have a look at Drayton Manor, we are planning on going to Paultons this year. Thank you!

Paultons is the absolute best theme park in the country up to the age of about 10 (or a bit older depending on the child).

Thank you! Which other parks do you think are the best?

Paultons is really nice for younger children. There’s more to it than Peppa Pig world

Yes I agree with PP, Paultons or Legoland.

Tried to quote the post asking what other parks I'd recommend beyond Paulton's but the quoting didn't work - or maybe I did it wrong!

Have to confess that with my daughter, we did mostly just go to Paulton's, and now we are in Thorpe Park territory, so I am not the best person to answer that. A lot of people like Legoland and that seems like a no-brainer for you to do that one anyway. I think the queues can get pretty big there. But this is why I like Paulton's, in case it's useful...

  1. It is independently owned and run.
  2. They do not have a paid fast track system like Legoland and any other Merlin park. This means that the queues move quicker.
  3. Peppa Pig World does get busy and you can get long queues, but the rest of the park is pretty big, with rides for all ages, and in all our visits there (including at peak times) I don't think we ever queued longer than about 20 minutes. There are loads of great little attractions all around the park that you can just walk right into.
  4. The gardens are really well kept. Nice place to have a picnic and a bit of quiet time.
  5. The park is clean and I have never seen any litter there. The staff really take care of it.
  6. The toilets are EXCELLENT and they have really thought about families in designing them.
  7. There are some birds and animals.
  8. In warm weather the 2 splash zones are really good fun (but take spare clothes or go at the end of the day because your children will get wet!).
  9. Good playgrounds.
  10. Food is not as horrible as it is as some theme parks 😂.
  11. Really good theming in some areas, especially the dinosaur bit (Lost Continent) and the American-themed area (Tornado Springs).
  12. Last time we went they had lots of little ride-on things, the sort of thing you used to get outside supermarkets or in shopping malls, where you put money in and your kid has a little ride when they sit on it. Last time we went to Paulton's they were all free (not sure if this is still the case).

Crealys was so good for my 4 year old. And my 1 year old got to go on a few things too. It's just for kids basically and has a lot there
