Favourite Premier Inn in London?

Evening!

In March I am going on a work trip that requires an overnight stay in London.

Our work policy is to book Premier Inn where poss to keep costs down, but I will have sat my final accountancy exam that day so would like to get the best I can get as a little "well done me"!

I can see that the prices vary somewhat...presumably to reflect that some are better (or at least more popular) than others.

Which do people recommend? I'd like to be fairly central so I can easily crawl back after celebratory drinks!

Farringdon is a fave of mine

Super rooms at Travelodge Docklands are clean and spacious, depending on the day really cheap and it’s right on the DLR.

The one in Stratford is handy for Westfield. Not so much other for sightseeing, but if work is your main focus it's an easy option.

Premier Inn Prescot St was my go to premier inn. 5 mins from Liverpool Street and Tower of London. Ask for a room over looking the church and it’s the quietest room in London

Do people prefer the area/location of the County Hall PI or the Bankside one beside the Borough Market?
Trying to decide for a family trip. It’s been years since I was in London & I wouldn’t be too confident on picking a preferred location.

Farringdon or Aldgate both get my vote.

Highly recommend Ibis which is next to the Excel.
It's excellent- cheaper than a PI, good rooms and excellent breakfast.

Next to Custom House DLR which is a short train from Stratford station where you can pick up your train

Another vote for the hub at Marylebone. Brand new and excellent quality.

I have stayed at the one near King's Cross and found it very comfortable, we also got a decent meal in the restaurant. In fact we are going back there next month for a longer stay

And the porridge at breakfast is delicious!

Farringdon Travelodge is good, ok breakfast though not PI standard. I got last Saturday night for £75

Lincslady53 · 19/01/2025 22:19

Covent Garden Hub is well placed, tiny rooms, but OK, and a continental breakfast for £6. With unlimited tea or coffee. If all you are doing is sleeping there, it is fine.

Have a look at the Z hotels. Tiny rooms but really clean and sometimes cheaper than the Premier Inn (which is usually my go-to hotel chain!).
