For complicated reasons, we need to do at least one night (maybe two) near here in June.

We will have a car. I will need to manage the two DSes on my own on a Saturday afternoon, but I don't drive [Londoner].

Any good accommodation options? Outings options? Food?

Hey, depends what you want, there is decent travelodge, helicopter museum nearby an a sports centre. Mile or so walk to main town or plenty of buses, if nice weather go on pier, beach etc. Other wise a place called Puxton park (just of motorway) is fab with indoor slides etc but think you would need a car. Plenty of cheap b and b in town centre.

There is plenty to do on the pier. A good indoor soft play right at the eend of the pier and fairground rides.

we often go down to stay. Lots of cheap B & Bs. Nice hotel - cabury house, has a spa - so swimming pool for kiddies and just around the corner from the puxton place - my 3 yr didn't want to leave. There is a nice 'small' hotel the beach something, in weston itself, has swimming pool (handy for kids)

late hotels do some good deals and the travel lodge ok.

Enjoy - it's cheesy fun. I like it there

Is Cabury House near Puxton Place? Walkable?

I've got two boys, so a helicopter museum could be very useful.

I like piers, well, I did pre-kids but suspect now they wouldn't be as much fun. I don't want to spend ages refusing to give DS1 billions of pounds to spend on games he can't really play (he's only 6).

Argh, no space at Cadbury House, now that I'm actually trying to book something.

But I'm bumping for more recommendations ...

Stacks of twopences on the pier for those cascade machines. Keeps me entertained for hours -- and the DSs

If you go to the other end of the beach from the peir there is a miniature railway with a little shop.
