Bristol City Centre

I'm going to be staying in Bristol city centre with an 8 and 14 year old.

We have day stuff planned but any suggestions for the evening? They'll want to eat about 6pm but then what?! We don't normally stay in hotels.

Are there any nice evening walks? I need to make them tired so they sleep well and not drive me crazy!

UPDATE:

We had a brilliant time! The younger ones loved "We The Curious" as it was so interactive. It was a little busy to begin with but by 4pm it was much quieter so they got to do the bits they missed earlier (as some parents it would seem do not teach their kids to share and let others have a turn!).

We went for a lovely walk along the quayside, had a look round M-shed.

The aquarium was superb and we spent almost 2 hours there, then they LOVED Wake the Tiger as it was just utterly strange but in a good way. Lots of doors to push, rooms to explore, sensory overload, but we were there ages!! There seemed to be some theme or something you were meant to do, but we had no idea so just bumbled round and had a laugh.

Eating we were spoiled for choice. We looked at Za Za Bazaar, but as the youngest is autistic, we felt it would be sensory over-load for him (he struggles to process choices so likes to view menus in advance, and we couldn't find any particular menu saying what there was inside so he could plan his food!). Next time I'll do some more research so he feels able to give it a go.

Would definitely go back and visit again, so thank you to everyone's input! It's a brilliant city to visit!
