Next weekend in London with 9 year old child

Looking for ideas of activities/places that might be of interest to my 9 year old son.
We're going to London next Friday, arrive around lunchtime and will be staying near Euston.
We have something booked at 12pm on the Saturday near Tower Bridge, that activity should last couple of hours.
Just looking for ideas of other possibly places/activities within easy reach (will be relying on the tube/buses. Ideally not too expensive.
Any fun activities or fairs etc happening in any of the big London parks next weekend?
Any suggestions would be helpful as I don't know London very well. Thanks :)

I’d probably bet the Uber boat from tower pier down to Greenwich, sit on the outside bit if not raining. No activities on as such but the maritime museum is free and worth a look, you can look at the Cutty Sark, you could go down the tunnel under the river, there’s the market for food and there’s a fish and chip shop that is not priced too badly. Then either river boat back or get the DLR. the boat you tap on as of tube and you won’t pay for the 9yo.

You could walk along Southbank to the Tate modern. Plenty of food stalls / restaurants round borough market which is on the way. Also HMS Belfast/ Golden Hinde but both have entry fees.

Babylon Park in Camden and Camden generally - close to Euston and Babylon is an indoor theme park. Camden has become quite foodie - if you check out the Camden Market instagram you can see all kinds of fun stuff they have there for snacks and dinner.

you actually don’t have that much time in london so I wouldn’t be traipsing around all over london. Greenwich is far away.

The OP says staying near Euston, not that they have to get a train back from there after the activity. It is 36 minutes on DLR/Northern line back to Euston from Cutty Sark, FYI.

London Museum Dockands is well worth a visit - a short bus ride from Tower Bridge

The Science Museum would be my choice with a 9 year old.

Came on to say this. Also the Welcome institute is opposite Euston station. I love the museum of childhood Bethnal Green. London transport museum Covent Garden used to be great.
