Center Parcs disabled question/picking lodge

We're booking Center Parcs and wouldn't usually need to choose our lodge. We might be have someone join us that is disabled so would need a more central lodge - does anyone know it it can be added on after booking (the call centre is closed today to ask the question). It's an additional £74 so I only want to pay if they are definitely coming.

Alternatively, does anyone know a rough price for hiring a mobility scooter?

we went earlier this year and only decided to add a specific lodge number a few weeks before we went. It was easy to do by phoning up and I checked what was available first online. Wasn’t a disabled lodge though if that’s what you need.

If you'll need a central lodge I'd pay on booking, they seem to book up very quickly (in the Irish one anyway). No guarantees you'd be able to get one later in the day.

Thanks a lot! She's fine without it being a specifically disabled lodge, just need one closer.

I agree about reserving when you book to make sure, plus the “central area” can be quite big depending on the village. I have booked a specific lodge because I know that it’s close to the pool and the path, which is what I need for mobility reasons. And be careful if it’s Woburn cos that’s hilly and several central lodges can only be accessed by steps!

Where the lodges are depends on the kind you booked, there are so many different styles. If you think you’ll need it I’d pay now to book a specific one.

mobility scooters are about £65/70 per weekend or mid week break.
they book up quickly too. You book them in the same way you do activities / restaurants etc.

You’re better picking a specific lodge asap as some are up/down quite a few steps.

We're looking at the sherwood forest one. She only finds out if she can come next week but I'm booking today - for us it makes no difference as we can cycle/walk.
