Beaches are all easily accessible and everywhere so you won’t struggle there.

Are you hiring a car? If not, it is worth it, even for a day or 2. We like Gorey. The castle is lovely and you get good views. You can get a decent ice cream there too.

The war tunnels are interesting but I am not sure if your kids will get much from it given they are under 10.

We really enjoyed Elizabeth Castle. That was a good day out and Jersey Zoo is a must see.

The Lookout has an amazing view and something on the menu for even the fussiest of eaters! Ditto for El Tico Beach Cantina, where you can watch the surfers while you eat!
The Good Egg Beach Cafe is the place to go for the best brunch. My dc love their pancakes and waffles.
The best days out with kids are Jersey Zoo and Amaizin Adventure Park.
A nice walk is along the old railway track from St. Aubin to La Corbiére Lighthouse. It’s approx a 3 and a half mile walk and, at low-tide you can walk across the causeway.

Thank you for the recommendations, I'm writing them all down!

Yes, we are hiring a car for the full week as we want to do and see as much as possible.

Thank you, we are very much looking to do some nice walks. Where does the walk along the old railway tracks at St Aubin start? Just had a Quick Look on Google maps and wasn't sure where it would begin. Is there a postcode for it?

Walk out to corbiere as the tide recedes and clears the causeway.

Zoo.

Maritime museum.

See the waves at high tide at St Ouens and eat at The watersplash.

The hungry man cafe.

Midday cafe at St Brelades is cheap.

Ouaisne Bay is small and safe.

Love jersey.

You really don't need a car.. the buses are amazing (haven't used a bus anywhere else for decades).
Buy a pass and hop on and off.. the app tells you where and when. Brilliant.

Walk out along St Catherine's breakwater and back. The cafe is nice too.

If you have the funds, the Jersey Seafaris that go from St Catherines are great too, will need to book a few weeks before you go and hope the weather is OK.

Gorey Castle

Hamptonne.

@worriedworriedworried22 The route starts at the bottom of La Rue au Moestre at one end of the harbour.

I lived on Jersey for nearly 10 years and go back often. @Forgottenmyphone basically wrote the post I was going to write word for word 😊

I love Jersey so much!

I would agree. No need for a car. The buses are great.

The Meze at De L'etang is delicious.

Elizabeth Castle was fun. DH got to help with moving the cannon.

Interested to hear if you booked a package with flights or doing on your own via ferry? Looked at ferry in lockdown and was extortionate so not looked since but oddly flights came up today and looked ok!

Visit Plémont Beach. It was our favourite beach when we visited. There are a lot if steps down (and back up) but it was worth the effort.

For walks, there are fab walks along the north coast - cliffs and stunning views. Better to use the bus so you can start in one place and come back from another. Greve de Lecq has the best infrastructure of the northern beaches for a day with kids, and St Brelades is great. Many beaches have nice cafes. Plemont is quite fun if you see the tide coming in or out, with fun caves and rockpools.

http://30bays30days.org.je/ This is a great resource for anyone wanting to explore the smaller bays. Even in the height of summer you can be alone or one of a tiny number of people.

Jersey Museum is quite good for kids as well as the Maritime Museum. The War Tunnels can work for some younger children depending on their interests and level of engagement in museums! Both the castles are great. You can dress up at Gorey and of course the duck boats to Elizabeth Castle.

The Amaizin Maze is expensive and not worth it if you’re happy on the beach in my opinion. The zoo on the other hand is expensive but worth it.
